The AIS Doctoral Student College will host several in-person events as part of this year’s ECIS Doctoral Student Corner. We have developed these events to help doctoral students make the most of the conference by providing opportunities to gain advice from experienced faculty and to build relationships with others in our field.
We invite doctoral students at all levels to join our free events on this year’s ECIS. No registration is needed for the Doctoral Student Corner and we will give away several Amazon gift cards during each of our events!
We are excited to host the ECIS Doctoral Student Corner June 21st – 24th in a full in-person format for the first time in two and a half years!
Events of the ECIS Doctoral Student Corner:
Welcome Reception & Social
Tuesday June 21st, 04:00-05:00 pm Local Time
This event will be our official welcome reception for the Doctoral Student Corner. During this hour, students will have the chance to meet and interact with each other in-person.
Faculty Fireside Chat
Wednesday June 22nd, 05:40-06:40 pm Local Time
For the first time, the Doctoral Student College organizes the Faculty Fireside Chat event. Unlike a panel, the Fireside Chat is informally structured, friendly, and casual, focusing on the theme “Research trends: To follow or not to follow?”. Faculty members can freely exchange opinions, and Ph.D. student audiences are welcomed to ask questions, to which faculty mentors can respond spontaneously.
Participating Faculty Mentors:
Event moderator: Laura Watkowski – University of Bayreuth
Student Hangout & Conclusion
Thursday June 23rd, 02:30-03:00 pm Local Time
This will be our closing event for the Doctoral Student Corner. We will also be giving away several prizes.
Please visit this webpage periodically for up-to-date information on our events.
We hope that you are as excited as us to be a part of the in-person ECIS Doctoral Student Corner!
